James Burnside is a pastoral leader and ministry strategist with over 20 years of experience equipping the Church for bold, biblical, and Spirit-led action. He currently serves as a discipleship coach at Dallas Theological Seminary, where he mentors future pastors and ministry leaders, guiding them toward gospel-centered growth and theological clarity.
James is the founder of @BibleStudyNow, a digital platform reaching over 244,000 people each month, with a viral reach peaking at 1.3 million in 90 days, without paid ads. Through engaging video content, strategic partnerships, and practical teaching, James aims to equip a global audience through Scripture from Genesis to Revelation.
As a pastor, teacher, and leadership coach, James has served congregations across multiple states and ministry contexts. His work has included revitalizing churches through complete health assessments and discipleship pipelines, as well as designing multicultural leadership development systems in roles such as Senior Pastor, Executive Pastor, and Associate Pastor. Much of this service was shaped through the mentorship of church strategist Dr. Aubrey Malphurs.

He also served as Academic Dean at Therapon Bible Institute, equipped pastors with spiritual formation curriculum in Nepal, built alumni strategy at The College of Biblical Studies, and continues to disciple students and leaders both in-person and online.
James’s work extends to national advocacy and theological training. He was commissioned by Christians United for Israel to represent and advocate for the nation of Israel in Washington D.C. and Jerusalem, building relationships and communicating biblical support for Israel’s role in God’s plan.
He is also an official Logos Bible Software partner, demonstrating the power of digital Bible study tools and providing trusted biblical resources to individuals, churches, and theological institutions worldwide.
James builds bridges between ministries, mission agencies, and media platforms. Most recently, he has played a catalytic role in aligning the outreach vision of Mission Aviation Fellowship to both discover and offer aviation roles that serve isolated people groups.
He holds multiple degrees, including a master’s from Dallas Theological Seminary, with doctoral work focused on multi-cultural discipleship and redemptive spiritual formation.
